The Boys Who Snuck Into My Tower

You know, life in a tower isn't exactly known for its excitement. Sure, there are always magical books to read, spells to practice, and the occasional creature to care for. But, for the most part, it’s quiet. Comfortable, even. But then—of course—everything changes in a heartbeat.

Let me tell you about the two boys who decided that sneaking into my tower was a good idea. Oh, and it definitely wasn’t a good idea.

It all started with the sound of strange footsteps echoing through the tower. Now, I’m no stranger to the occasional wanderer or wayward traveler (thank you, Aunt Alyndra, for that story)—but these two didn’t seem like your average wanderers. No, they were… well, let’s just say they were less than subtle about their presence.

The first one, Gavri’el, is serious, brooding, and far more determined than anyone really should be when sneaking into someone’s home. If you could see him, you’d notice how intense his eyes get whenever he’s focused on something. And I mean really focused—like, there’s no breaking that gaze, no matter how many missteps his friend makes. And trust me, Folcmar is all about the missteps.

I didn’t get a chance to talk to Gavri’el at first, but I sure heard enough. You see, the moment he entered my tower, it was clear he had a purpose. He wasn’t here for tea and cake. He was here for something specific—though, what that something was, I'm not entirely sure. If I had to guess, it’s something very important, and I definitely don’t think I’m supposed to know about it just yet.

And then there’s Folcmar. Oh, where do I even begin with him? If you met him, you'd probably think he was more trouble than he’s worth. But honestly? He’s quite amusing. From the moment he stepped inside, it was clear that subtlety wasn’t on his to-do list. I think he just enjoys the chaos he creates. Honestly, if you could hear how he talks, you’d wonder how he manages to take anything seriously. I suspect he’s the type who’d make a joke in the middle of a battle. In fact, I’m pretty sure he did just that during our little "game" in the tower.

But what did they want? I can’t tell you—mostly because I’m still figuring it out myself. They were clearly looking for something important—something that, judging by their behavior, had a lot of weight behind it. Maybe it’s magic, maybe it’s something darker, but whatever it is, it was definitely something that shouldn't be found by just anyone. The way they acted around certain rooms was enough to make me think they were way in over their heads.

Of course, I had to play along, keeping them distracted long enough to figure out what to do. I must admit, I’m not always great at being… subtle. Let’s just say that their little "adventure" was more fun than I expected it to be. I mean, who doesn’t love watching people squirm when they realize they’ve fallen right into a trap? (Not that they knew they had, of course. I’m not that cruel.)

In the end, though, I’m not sure how I feel about Gavri’el and Folcmar. They’re both a bit too serious for my liking, and yet I can’t shake the feeling that we’ll meet again soon enough.

I guess I’ll have to be prepared for whatever comes next. After all, when two strangers decide to break into your home, who knows what kind of trouble they’re bringing with them. But if they do return, I’ll be ready. That’s one thing I’m certain of.

For now, though? I think they’ve learned their lesson. And Blizzard is on guard for next time.

Until then, I’m going to enjoy a little peace and quiet… if I can find it.
